BA (Hons) Public Health with Foundation Year

... United Kingdom
... Buckinghamshire New University

Course Overview

This course will provide you with an in-depth understanding of public health and its wider determinants from a local, national and international perspective. Populations globally are at risk from environmental hazards such as air pollution, the use of plastics and epidemics such as Ebola. There has never been a better time to raise awareness and protect future populations. We will explore public health issues from a local, national and global perspective, looking at how public health has been shaped through history and unpicking contemporary issues that affect health and wellbeing across the lifespan. Taught by experienced academics, who have worked in public health themselves, you will also gain an insight into policy and decision making, as well as looking in-depth at health-promoting initiatives, designed to solve complex public health problems.

General Eligibility

Applicants who do not meet the minimum requirements for our three-year programs, or those who do not feel fully prepared for first-year entry, can be considered for the four-year program including a foundation year. Applicants to these will have typically achieved between 32-56 UCAS tariff points.
