BA (Hons) Education Studies

The BA (Hons) Education Studies programme is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the field of education, including its historical, philosophical, social and cultural contexts. The programme will equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue a career in education, as well as the ability to critically evaluate educational policies and practices. Students will also have the opportunity to specialise in areas such as early years education, special educational needs, and education policy.

In this course, you’ll analyze educational processes and their cultural, social, political, and historical contexts, and gain perspectives on economic relationships, globalization, international education, and equality and equity in education. Education Studies also explore beliefs, values, and principles in education and the way that they change over time.
