Studying a combined honours in Computer Science and Neuroscience gives you the opportunity to develop a wide range of expertise and skills in two exciting subjects.
Initial modules are designed to bring everyone up to speed, regardless of their starting level. In computer science you will learn the key themes that underpin the discipline such as programming best practices and the use of the latest tools and technology. In neuroscience you will gain a solid grounding in basic biological techniques, the core concepts of neuroscience and the practical skills required for a career within the field. Building on the knowledge you have learnt in both subjects, you will progress to explore advanced topics in your second and third year of study. Modules may include; programming concepts that can be applied in areas such as games programming, mobile app and web development, artificial intelligence and cyber security and how the brain develops and how drugs affect the nervous system. The programme will culminate with the opportunity to unleash your creativity and apply the techniques you have acquired throughout your studies by completing a final year project.
