This course is offered as a four-year program, including an initial Foundation Year. The Foundation Year will allow you to develop your academic study skills and build confidence in your abilities, identifying your own strengths and development needs for progression onto an undergraduate degree. Our BA (Hons) in Law is designed for students who may not wish to pursue a professional legal career, but have an interest in a career in law and/or looking to apply knowledge in another area of business or service provision. You will integrate applied work-based and skills-based modules that will help allow you to prepare practically as well as academically for a successful career, both within and outside of the legal professions. We will help you build up your legal knowledge and commercial awareness, and gain a wide range of transferable skills, such as abstract thinking and practical problem-solving, which are relevant to a wide range of related careers.
Applicants who do not meet the minimum requirements for our three-year programs, or those who do not feel fully prepared for first-year entry, can be considered for the four-year program including a foundation year. Applicants to these will have typically achieved between 32-56 UCAS tariff points.
