Course Overview

The University has an award-winning Careers and Employability service that provides a variety of employability-enhancing experiences; through the curriculum, employer contact, tailored group sessions, individual information, advice, and guidance.

Careers and Employability - Student Services aims to deliver a service that is inclusive, impartial, welcoming, informed, and tailored to your personal goals and aspirations, to enable you to develop as an individual and contribute to the business and community in which you will live and work.

We are here to help you plan your future, make the most of your time at University, and to enhance your employability. We provide access to part-time jobs, and extra-curricular employability-enhancing workshops and offer practical one-to-one help with career planning, including help with CVs, applications, and mock interviews. We also deliver group sessions on career planning within each course and we have a wide range of extensive information covering graduate jobs and postgraduate study.

Students and graduates of the University of Chester can use our services free of charge for up to two years after graduating.

112 UCAS points from GCE A Levels or equivalent. Typical offer - BBC/BBB. Specific subjects required: Physics

BTEC:

BTEC Extended Diploma: DMM plus GCE A Level Physics

BTEC Diploma: DD plus GCE A Level Physics

Irish/Scottish Highers:

Irish Highers - H3, H3, H3, H3, H4 including H3 in Physics

Scottish Highers - BBBB including Physics

International Baccalaureate:

IB Diploma: 28 points, incl. 5 in HL Physics

Access requirements:

Access to HE Diploma (Physics at Level 3) to include 45 credits at level 3, 30 of which must be at Merit (including 15 at Merit in Physics)

OCR:

OCR National Extended Diploma: Merit 1 plus GCE A Level Physics

OCR Cambridge Technical Extended Diploma - DMM plus GCE A Level Physics

Extra Information / General Entry Requirements:

Please note that we accept a maximum of 8 points from GCE AS Levels and that Welsh Baccalaureate (core) and A-level General Studies will be recognized in our offer. We will also consider a combination of A levels and BTECs/OCRs.

Part Time Work Details

20 hours of work permit weekly for international students.
