Course Overview

The BSc Mathematics with Statistics at Birkbeck will allow you to pursue an interest in statistics and applications such as data science while obtaining a broad education in mathematical sciences. You will explore theoretical aspects of the subject as well as statistical methods and modeling techniques. The flexible structure of the course also provides the potential to combine your studies with option modules from other subjects such as economics, accounting, or management.

General Eligibility

UCAS TARIFF POINTS

96-128 points (e.g. A-levels CCC-ABB, including grade B in mathematics).

The UCAS tariff score is applicable to you if you have recently studied a qualification that has a UCAS tariff equivalence. UCAS provides a tariff calculator for you to work out what your qualification is worth within the UCAS tariff.

Part Time Work Details

20 hours of work permit weekly for international students.

Language Requirement

  • If English is not your first language or you have not previously studied in English, our usual requirement is the equivalent of an International English Language Testing System (IELTS Academic Test) score of 6.5, with not less than 6.0 in each of the sub-tests.
