Throughout your studies you will: -follow a full research training program leading to the completion of an original dissertation in a topic of your choosing; -take core modules designed to deepen your understanding of methodologies appropriate to the study of literature from the Renaissance to the present; -choose an optional module from a variety of disciplines, including English or American Literature, Creative Writing or Film, or you can choose -to take a Work Placement module; -work with a research-active supervisor to develop and pursue your dissertation, and participate in the academic life of the School of Humanities more generally; -receive pastoral support from a personal tutor and Programme Director; -receive support if applying for Ph.D. study at Keele University of further afield.
This degree is designed for those individuals with a first or upper second-class honors degree (or international equivalent) in English/English Studies/English Literature (single or combined honors). Applicants with other qualifications or experience are considered on a case-by-case basis by the Programme Director.
20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.
IELTS 7.0 with a minimum of 6.5 in each component.
