BSc (Hons) Building and Construction Engineering degree are suitable for students who upon graduating want to perform the role of a building engineer, construction engineer, or site manager. It also prepares students to take leadership roles in shaping the built environment. The construction industry globally has a high demand for graduate engineers and provides opportunities to work in the UK and around the world. So to ensure you are equipped to meet the needs of this exciting industry, our course covers three main themes: construction technology, building engineering, and management. Embedded within this curriculum are Digital Technologies, Sustainability, and Health and Safety topics. Furthermore, our course covers the understanding, application, and management of materials, construction technology, and services in the construction and maintenance of buildings. You will learn about the construction of both low and high-rise residential, office, and commercial buildings, leaving you with a holistic understanding of the sector.
A typical offer will require a UCAS Tariff score between 96-120 points and GSCE Maths and English at grade 4 (or C) or above. A minimum of two full A-levels (or equivalent) is required, ideally with one STEM subject.
