Course Overview

Our Biomedical, Biomechanics and Bioelectronics Engineering MSc degree focus on advancing and updating your knowledge in biomechanics, biofluid mechanics, and bioelectronics. You will also receive a dynamic learning experience as you delve into medical imaging technology and artificial intelligence in image processing as part of this unique postgraduate engineering program. The aim of this specialist course is to create masters qualified biomedical engineers who can help in the design, development, operation, and research of complex medical devices for the modern biomedical and healthcare industry. Teaching is delivered by enthusiastic world-leading biomedical research experts and enhanced by clinical professionals who are part of our extensive network of industry and hospital collaborative partners. With our strong industry links, some projects are provided by hospital consultants and are based on solving practical biomedical problems and challenges. You will have access to fully equipped laboratories, with excellent biomedical engineering research facilities. In the computer lab, youll have the opportunity to develop hands-on skills using modern computer software to solve problems relevant to biomedical issues.

General Eligibility

A 2:2 (or above) UK Honours degree or equivalent internationally recognized qualification in an engineering, appropriate science, or technology subject. Other qualifications and relevant experience will be assessed on an individual basis. Entry to this program requires all students who are not nationals of the European Economic Area (EEA) and have temporary immigration permission to remain in the UK to obtain an ATAS certificate. If you are made an offer to join this course and you are not an EEA national, you will be required to obtain an ATAS certificate as a condition of your offer.
