Graduate Diploma in Business (GDB)

The GDB course is designed to provide students with a wide breadth of knowledge of different aspects of management and business. The course is relevant to a range of professionals who wish to develop their skills and knowledge in relation to business management and their application to business. The Course Learning Outcomes are consistent with the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF Level 8) and Bloom’s Taxonomy.

Accordingly, the graduates of the Graduate Diploma in Business will be able to:

1. Demonstrate, contemporary theoretical and applied knowledge of business administration and the practical skills necessary to identify, investigate and solve managerial issues in a contemporary business environment.

2. Demonstrate managerial knowledge, underpinned by the principles of corporate and social responsibility, ethics and sustainability, to support organisational processes

3. Evaluate the impact of managerial decisions on corporate strategies, performance, and associated business processes.

4. Synthesise and effectively communicate managerial models and frameworks relevant to real-world situations with due consideration of the impacts and outcomes affecting diverse stakeholders.

5. Work well autonomously as well as within group settings to identify and apply innovative business administration solutions to professional scenarios.

• An Australian Bachelor degree or equivalent; OR

• An Australian Graduate Certificate; OR

• Advanced Diploma/Associate Degree (or equivalent including overseas associate degree) plus evidence of a minimum of five years’ demonstrable relevant industry experience.

20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.
