Birkbeck's Master's degree in health and clinical psychological sciences is designed for graduates with a background in psychology, neuroscience, or health sciences, who want to deepen their understanding of cutting-edge contemporary research in health (including health psychology, applied neuroscience, and neuropsychology) and the factors contributing to physical and mental health outcomes.
The course will deepen your understanding of the methods and insights of contemporary health and clinical psychological sciences, including applied neuroscience. You will develop your generic research skills, learn advanced quantitative and qualitative methods, and study how best to design and evaluate interventions.
Graduates can pursue career paths in psychology, health, or related areas. Possible professions include:

A second-class honors degree (2:2) or above in psychology or a related discipline (e.g. neuroscience, nursing, or health sciences).
20 hours of work permit weekly for international students.
If English is not your first language or you have not previously studied in English, the requirement for this program is the equivalent of an International English Language Testing System (IELTS Academic Test) score of 7.0, and at least 6.5 in writing.
