Our Postgraduate Diploma in Analytical Bioscience provides advanced training for work and research in the molecular biosciences, biomedical, and pharmaceutical sectors. You can gain extensive hands-on experience in a laboratory setting. The course is designed to allow flexibility in attendance requirements, with the material being delivered via a mixture of face-to-face classes, distance learning, practical classes, tutorials, and a research project. Graduates go on to careers in the health sector, academic research, toxicology, and pharmaceuticals. Possible professions include analytical chemist, biomedical scientist, research scientist (life sciences), or toxicologist. This degree can also be useful in becoming a clinical research associate, science writer, or scientific laboratory technician.
A second-class honors degree (2:2) or above in a scientific subject or with appropriate work experience. Applications are reviewed on their individual merits and your professional qualifications and/or relevant work experience will be taken into consideration positively.
If English is not your first language or you have not previously studied in English, the requirement for this program is the equivalent of an International English Language Testing System (IELTS Academic Test) score of 6.5, with not less than 6.0 in each of the sub-tests.
