Course Overview
The Automation and Information Technology programme at University of Vaasa gives training in control systems, software development, and industrial data use. Students work with programming tools, automation equipment, and simulation systems used in energy and manufacturing sectors. Study tasks include project work that mirrors real technical assignments found in industry settings.
Graduates gain skills suited for roles in automation design, system maintenance, industrial software development, and energy technology companies. The programme supports student exchange options, giving exposure to study settings in other countries. Internship links with Finnish companies provide experience in real engineering environments. Many graduates continue with master’s level studies or move into technical roles in international firms.
