Course Overview

This course is suitable for anyone who is interested in pursuing a career or further study in health data science. We welcome students from computer science, maths, physics or engineering but who do not necessarily have any experience in biology or health – bioscience and health aspects of health data science will be taught on the programme.

General Eligibility

You will have, or be predicted, at least a 2:2 degree in a strongly numerate subject (e.g. computer science, mathematics, physics), OR a 2:2 in a health/life sciences degree AND demonstrate good programming ability in a modern computer language. Alternatively you will have strong skills in maths, computing or engineering, but not necessarily have a degree.

Part Time Work Details

Apprentices will need to be employed by your organization for a minimum of 30 hours per week. Your organization will also need to commit to sponsoring apprentices to complete this qualification.

IELTS Overall score 6.5. No less than 6.0 in any section. TOEFL Overall score 90 with minimum scores of 21 for writing, 21 for listening, 22 for reading and 23 for speaking.
