Course Overview

Develop advanced software building skills and become a vital resource for employers across the creative industries and beyond on UCAs new BSc (Hons) Computer Science degree. This in-depth technical degree, taught at UCA Farnham, is designed to help you become adept at building programmes for a growing range of digital platforms. You’ll gain the fundamental technical skills in software programming and development for contemporary environments, whether this is on a local device, on the web, or utilising Cloud technologies. And you’ll do this through predominantly hands-on learning, together with accompanying contextual and theoretical lectures and seminars. Your studies will culminate in an exhibition of work developed during the year and a major project, based on your own interests.

General Eligibility

BA/BSc (Hons) course BA/BSc (Hons) course with Professional Practice Year The standard entry requirements* for these courses are of the following: 112 new UCAS tariff points, see accepted qualifications Pass at Foundation Diploma in Art & Design (Level 3 or 4) Distinction, Merit, Merit at BTEC Extended Diploma / BTEC National Extended Diploma Merit at UAL Extended Diploma 112 new UCAS tariff points from an accredited Access to Higher Education Diploma in an appropriate subject 27-30 total points in the International Baccalaureate Diploma with at least 15 IB points at the Higher level, see more information about IB entry requirements. Other relevant and equivalent Level 3 the UK and international qualifications are considered on an individual basis, and we encourage students from diverse educational backgrounds to apply.
