Modern digital electronics, computing systems, and gadgets are all significant in commerce, industry, and the home, impacting our lives on a daily basis. Our Electronic Engineering and Computer Science course aims to expand the breadth and depth of our students knowledge in electronics, internet technology, computing, digital systems, and software design.€¯ Our courses are developed in collaboration with a wide range of industry sectors to give a broad but relevant degree so teaching wont just be standard lectures and youll be encouraged to discover how science fiction becomes fact. Designing your own products and working with cutting-edge equipment will be a core part of the course. Youll gain a solid grounding in software engineering and computing systems, complemented by engineering expertise in digital electronics and telecommunications. To build a bridge between hardware and software specialists youll study computing and electronics with single honors students from the electronic engineering and computer science subject groups.€¯ In the second and final year, youll be able to choose specialist options in preparation for your future career. These options include digital system design, telecommunications systems, optoelectronics, and signal processing. In your final year, youll undertake an in-depth project, based on your area of specialism.
