MSc Speech and Language Therapy

This Master’s degree in Speech and Language Therapy is designed to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to become a speech and language therapist. The course covers a wide range of topics related to communication disorders, including assessment and diagnosis, intervention and treatment planning, and working with clients across the lifespan. Students will learn how to evaluate and treat individuals with speech, language, and communication disorders, as well as how to work effectively with families, carers, and other professionals. The course also includes a variety of clinical placements and opportunities for practical application of theoretical concepts.

This course is accredited by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT). Graduates of this program are eligible to register with the HCPC and work as speech and language therapists in a variety of settings, including hospitals, clinics, schools, and community organizations.

This course will prepare you to work flexibly and responsively in the changing contexts of health and social care, demonstrating leadership, embedded partnership working skills, and the ability to use evidence-based practice to inform and support your clinical reasoning and decision-making.

An undergraduate degree in a related area at 2:1 or above.
