Course Overview
The Administrative Sciences specialisation within Sustainable Urban Development was created to address growing urban, environmental, and governance challenges faced by cities worldwide. The programme combines administrative sciences with sustainability studies and gives students an understanding of how public institutions, governments, and organisations shape urban development.
Students study governance, public administration, policy-making, and sustainable development in a multidisciplinary setting. Shared courses with students from social sciences and technology specialisations create opportunities to understand urban issues from different perspectives. Urban Lab projects connect classroom learning with practical work, allowing students to collaborate with municipalities and organisations on current urban development projects.
Graduates gain knowledge that is relevant to public sector organisations, international institutions, research projects, and urban planning initiatives. The programme supports analytical thinking, teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills that are valued across many sectors. Students who complete the bachelor's degree can continue directly to a master's programme, creating a strong academic pathway for future career growth and advanced study.
