Your transformation from a new student to a future marketing professional will begin from day one. In your first year, you will gain an understanding of marketing in a real-life context along with essential digital marketing skills. You will also develop management awareness in areas such as finance, people, and organizations.
In year two, you will use this marketing knowledge to make key decisions and consider the different ways businesses operate around the world. You will start to shape your career path by choosing an aspect of marketing and a five-week work placement that suits your personal interests and ambitions.
You will have the chance to undertake an optional year-long placement which really brings your course to life and will enhance your graduate employment prospects. How does a work placement at Aston Martin sound? That’s what marketing graduate Shannon experienced during her time with us and is just one of many great placement opportunities this course provides. You may even have a year studying business and management abroad in Europe, North America, Asia, or Australasia.
Your final year is even more tailored towards giving you the competitive edge you need to enter the area of marketing you want. You will carry out an original supervised research project into a subject you select and complete a module designed to maximize your individual professional success. Everything you study will be anchored to today’s business world. You will be looking at small local businesses right through to the leading brands, as well as upcoming trends in key marketing areas such as customer behavior and digital communications.
