Course Overview

Discovering transformational self requires leaders who can coach others beyond the status quo to achieve goals that seem unattainable. Performance coaches guide their clients to do exactly that. By assisting in the creation of an action plan and providing inspiration to pursue continuous improvement, performance coaching contributes to the success of individuals and organizations.

Lipscomb University’s graduate certificate program in Performance Coaching has earned recognition from the International Coach Federation (ICF) as an Accredited Coach Training Program and is the only university in the Southeast to hold this designation. With courses in active listening, somatics, ethics, and structures and models, you’ll learn to use coaching for the transformation of self and your organization. Advance your leadership capability with direction from top coaches and develop your coaching approach informed by ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC) markers within a supportive cohort environment that encourages each person to reach their full potential.

• $50 application fee or fee waiver

• Official college transcripts from all schools attended (minimum 2.5 GPA)

• Two professional recommendations

• Résumé

• Interview with faculty

If your undergraduate GPA is below 2.5, please provide a standardized test score or evidence of substantive professional experience.

20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.

Language Requirement

• IELTS 6.5 overall, with no less than 6.0 in any component.
