As a children's nurse you'll care for children and their families, placing their wellbeing at the centre of everything you do. You'll learn how to care for infants, children, young people and their families in a holistic manner.
Our Child Nursing course will develop your theoretical and practical knowledge and skills from day one, so that you have the experience and confidence to become a competent, compassionate and sustainable practitioner.
You'll spend 50% of your time at university and 50% of your time in placements across a variety of settings, including hospitals, schools and in the community. You'll be able to develop your practical learning in the safe environment of our simulations suites, which include fully equipped wards with simulation models.
On successful completion of all components, you'll be eligible to apply for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
GCSE English language and mathematics grades A-C / 4-9 or equivalent. Functional Skills Level 2 accepted.
A typical offer would be BBC at A2 Level, or equivalent
20 hours of work permit weekly for international students.
If English is not your first language you require IELTS overall score of 7, with scores of at least 7 in reading, listening and speaking, and at least 6.5 in writing.
