Course Overview

Making the most of your resources management theories and practices used in running diverse farm enterprises are vital to business success and are highly transferable. You’ll focus on the application of these traits as you meet modern industry demands and join the next generation of agriculturalists.

Due to the nature of the course, you’ll already need to be working within agriculture to secure a place on the course.

You’ll combine your studies with your existing role in the industry to allow you to apply the knowledge and understanding you gain through our taught modules in real-world settings. Your experiences will be captured in a portfolio that you can use within your assessment.

You'll engage with sessions led by our expert lecturers, who have significant industry management experience. Develop your skills using our world-class facilities, including our award-winning 400-hectare commercial farm and government-backed £ 2 million Agri-Tech Centre.

To allow you to combine your studies with work, taught content will take place in blocks each month on the Hartpury campus. Upon enrolment in the course, you’ll have the opportunity to become a student member of the Institute of Agricultural Management. This will help you to develop your practice and network with managers within the industry with significant industry management experience. General Eligibility

Applicants should have at least 64 UCAS points from a Level 3 vocational program that is relevant to employment and careers in the agricultural industry, or 64 UCAS points from A-Levels with evidence of current or previous agricultural experience.

Applicants with non-relevant qualifications but with current work experience or professional experience will be considered on an individual basis. Applicants must be in employment within the agriculture sector at the start of each year and have their employer’s consent to attend the taught sessions.

If employment in the industry ceases during the program, students will be allowed to complete the modules they are enrolled in whilst seeking further employment.

Part Time Work Details

The 20 hours are the total hours. It is not per job. If you hold multiple part-time jobs then the total hours of all the work you are doing are added together.
