Course Overview

Social, cultural, historical, political, and economic contexts of early childhood. Approaches to working with babies, young children, families, and communities.

An understanding of global issues and debates, such as young children as active participants in the lives and practices of families, societies, and cultures. The processes which shape early childhood and young children's lives include ethical principles and children's rights. Educational research and enquiry methods. Skills that support partthattion, critical engagement, and intellectual independence. In addition to this, you’ll gain skills that will make you attractive to employers. You’ll learn to present your ideas confidently in a variety of forms, use ICT for various professional purposes and work collaboratively.

General Eligibility

  • Indian students with 65% marks at Grade XII / Pakistani students with 70% marks at Grade XII

  • A Level – Grades BCC

  • Accredited Prior Learning equivalent to Year 1 and Year 2.

  • Other equivalent qualifications from EduQual/BTEC with Merit.

  • Copy of latest school credentials

  • Passport copy

  • Emirates ID (if any)

  • Visa Page Copy

  • Passport Size ID photo

Successful completion of one of the following:

  • A recognized post-secondary course.

  • University preparation (foundation) studies.

  • One year of study at a recognized tertiary or higher education institution.

Part Time Work Details

20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.

Language Requirement

  • A mandatory English Language Test by Bath Spa University UK conducted in the Bath Spa University Academic Center RAK Campus; or IELTS (Academic) test results with an overall score of 6.0, a minimum score of 5.5 for each skill/band.
