Course Overview
Learn how to manage environmental challenges in the world around you. Environmental Management courses at Salford are designed to open up career opportunities in sustainable, natural resource management, development, and planning, where you can help organizations reduce their environmental impact, help to reduce the impact of climate change, and make a difference.
Fieldwork is a critical element of the program, and field trips are aligned with our specialist modules, allowing you to gain skills and practical experience. You may go on day trips to the Peak District and Yorkshire Dales and residential field courses in Denmark or the European Alps. Most trips are free, with students only needing a modest administration fee.
Small group teaching is a beneficial feature of this course, and there are strong links between course content and staff research interests. You will get all your support from friendly and accessible academic staff and regular tutorials with your tutor. In addition, our small group classes and field trip opportunities will help you quickly get to know your coursemates.
You will:
Learn how to apply techniques for assessing and managing the environmental effects of public and private sector organizations
Develop personal, professional, and research skills and enhance employability through participation in consultancy-based project work.
Gain practical experience through field trips and placement opportunities.
General Eligibility
GCSE
English Language and Maths at grade C/level 4 or above (or equivalent).
You must fulfill our GCSE entry requirements and one of the requirements listed below.
