What happens during a child's early years impacts their future development, so children must have the best possible foundation. This course gives you a thorough grounding in child development and early education, preparing you for working with children and their families. You can be assessed against the nine Graduate Practitioner Competencies (GPC) of the Early Childhood Studies Degree Network (ECSDN). Successful demonstration of these competencies will mean you will be awarded Graduate Practitioner Status (GPS) alongside your degree. This could kick start your career in educating and caring for young children. The course will allow you to explore the critical issues that impact children's lives, focusing on birth to seven years old—youll look at health and wellbeing, education and learning and development. We'll also take a more comprehensive view, focusing on safeguarding society and the environment. Work placements form a vital part of the full-time course. Your order will allow you to gain practical experience working in a professional environment. These valuable experiences and your academic studies will help you develop the skills employers seek.
