Our Clinical Child Psychology Masters's degree course provides you with a strong foundation for research and will complement your professional clinical training. You'll gain a comprehensive theoretical knowledge of the field, as well as the practical ability to design and evaluate clinical research programs. Specialist modules focus on the diagnosis and treatment of different conditions, developmental psychopathology (including causes and impacts), and the broader issues surrounding psychological research. While studying clinical child psychology at ARU, you'll also train in quantitative and qualitative research methods, including infant observation, assessment, and diagnostic interviewing, neuroimaging (electroencephalography and magnetoencephalography) as well as neuropsychological assessment. This leads up to your dissertation project, which will involve significant independent research with the guidance and support of our expert staff.
Either 2.2 in BA or BSc Psychology with Graduate Basis for Recognition (GBR) for the British Psychology Society (BPS) OR 2.1 or above in non-accredited BA or BSc Psychology (or closely related discipline, e.g., Health Psychology, Joint honors Psychology, or Neuropsychology).
20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.
If English is not your first language you will be expected to demonstrate a certificated level of proficiency of at least IELTS 6.5 ( Academic level) or equivalent English Language qualification, as recognized by Anglia Ruskin University.
