This course provides a holistic musical theatre education. Along with learning and refining the €˜triple threat skills you would require as a musical theatre performer, you will be developed into a professional that has a deeper understanding of the various facets of the art form. You will focus on the three main skill areas of singing, acting and dance to develop technical competence, artistry and creativity that is underpinned by academic study. Based at both Theatre Severn and the Guildhall center, you have the opportunity to move seamlessly between professional theatre work and broad-based academic inquiry that supports your practice. Our curriculum will encourage you to develop into independent, reflective practitioners in an intimate and collaborative learning environment. Students on our Musical Theatre program benefit from the use of practice and theatre space in Shrewsburys Theatre Severn, where we have previously held guest workshops from West End stars.
