Our Postgraduate Diploma (PgDip) in Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (Health Visiting) will prepare you for 21st-century Health Visiting practice and entry to the third part of the professional NMC register. While studying, you will acquire the theoretical knowledge and practical experience required to promote and improve the health and wellbeing of: children young people families communities The PgDip leads to both an academic award and professional qualification. It consists of equally distributed theoretical learning and practice-based experience and is designed to take into consideration the health care needs of children, families, and communities currently within the UK.
You will normally possess an Ordinary bachelor's degree. You must be a Registered Nurse on subpart 1 or Midwife on the NMC professional register. If you have recently graduated from your pre-registration nursing education course and have applied for NMC registration then you may also be considered for entry to the PgDip.
