Our Postgraduate Diploma (PgDip) in Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (School Nursing) will prepare you for 21st Century School Nursing practice and entry to the third part of the professional NMC register. While studying, you will acquire the theoretical knowledge and practical experience required to promote and improve the health and wellbeing of children, young people, families, and communities. The program of study leads to both an academic award and professional qualification. It consists of equally distributed theoretical learning and practice-based experience. Upon completion of our PgDip, you will gain a critical understanding of a range of specialized theories, principles, and concepts influencing contemporary school nursing practice. Youll be equipped to work in the dynamic role of School Nursing and practice legally, safely, and effectively without direct supervision.
You will normally possess an Ordinary bachelor's degree. You must be a Registered Nurse on part 1 or a Midwife on part 2 of the NMC register. If you have recently graduated from your pre-registration nursing education course and have applied for NMC registration then you may also be considered for the program.
