The course supports you to apply your social work learning directly in the workplace throughout, enhancing your career and leading to great opportunities for qualification. This is a generic award and your studies will equip you to work in a wide range of settings including - but not limited to - children and families, adult services, mental health, disability, and offender services. All modules are designed with this aim and in year one you will prepare for social work practice, develop your communication skills, study human growth and development, learn about law and safeguarding, work alongside service users and carers, and focus on social justice in practice.
