Course Overview

The course supports you to apply your social work learning directly in the workplace throughout, enhancing your career and leading to great opportunities for qualification. This is a generic award and your studies will equip you to work in a wide range of settings including - but not limited to - children and families, adult services, mental health, disability, and offender services. All modules are designed with this aim and in year one you will prepare for social work practice, develop your communication skills, study human growth and development, learn about law and safeguarding, work alongside service users and carers, and focus on social justice in practice.

UCAS: 112 points BTEC Extended Diploma: DMM BTEC Diploma: D*D* Access to Higher education: 112 points Level 3 Diploma in Childcare GCSEs: Maths and English at Grade C/4 or equivalent such as Level 2 functional skills in Maths and English Accreditation of prior learning and work experience is taken into account for entry requirements and appropriate year of admission Our Apprenticeships have flexible entry requirements which take into consideration prior qualifications and experience. This may also include consideration of the year of entry DBS required
