Our MSc Clinical Sport Psychology incorporates specialized teaching from practicing clinical and sports psychologists and provides a curriculum that is at the cutting edge of research and practice.
You will be part of a friendly and supportive community, in which you will learn from and work alongside research-active, and practice-oriented academics. The course will develop your knowledge and skills in clinical sport psychology while research training will equip you to enter a variety of research roles.
The practice landscape of sport psychology in the UK is changing with a greater emphasis on athlete well-being and duty of care, alongside enhancing performance.
Upon completion of the program, students will be well-placed to pursue further study (e.g., Ph.D., or training toward professional accreditation with the Health and Care Professions Council as a sport or, alongside relevant work experience, a clinical psychologist.
Research training will equip students to enter a variety of research roles, whilst a range of opportunities allied to mental health and behavioral change broadly may be appealing to some students.
A BPS accredited undergraduate honors degree (normally a high 2:2 or above) in psychology or another relevant subject (e.g., sport and exercise sciences, education)
20 hours of work permit weekly for international students.
