Course Overview

This course will enhance your career potential within a wide range of public, private, and voluntary organizations. You could secure employment within organizations such as Save the Children, UNICEF, and the Children's Society, or you could choose to work in child and family law, youth and community work, or an educational setting in a museum. You could also progress your studies within the Carnegie School of Education on our MA Childhood Studies & Early Years, MA Education, or one of our teacher training courses.

General Eligibility

Access to HE Diploma:

Pass overall with a minimum of 104 UCAS tariff points.

T Levels:

Pass overall with a minimum of 104 UCAS tariff points, including a C or above on the core.

Scottish Awards:

104 UCAS tariff points from a minimum of 5 Highers of which at least 2 must be grade B or above.

Irish Leaving Certificate:

104 UCAS tariff points from a minimum of 5 subjects at a higher level of which at least 3 must be grade H3 or above.

International baccalaureate:

104 UCAS tariff points from a minimum of 3 Highers of which at least 2 must be grade H5 or above.

Part Time Work Details

20 hours of work permit weekly for international students.

Language Requirement

  • IELTS 6.0 with no skills below 5.5, or an equivalent qualification.
