If English is not your first language, this subject-specific international foundation year will give you the necessary English language ability and expertise to study an undergraduate degree in art, architecture, and design within UK higher education. As part of your course youll: Develop intercultural awareness and self-confidence Work on your communication, maths, research, and study skills Increase skills in presentation, time management, problem-solving, and planning Be introduced to various practice-based routes and take part in projects within each field to gain relevant skills and get a flavor of the different disciplines Explore subject-specific terminology and literature that you could use when preparing visual documents to accompany practical work Gain an understanding of British culture and universities, through a series of lectures and seminars Well help you improve your study skills through projects, essays, and practical exercises. Youll be assessed by a mixture of coursework and classroom tests in reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
Academic study to a minimum of GCSE equivalent plus one year of study or work experience is required.
20 hours of work permit weekly for international students.
