As part of this course, you’ll:
Develop your identity as an emerging practitioner
Work with children and young people across the 3-18-year age range within mainstream and specialist settings
Begin to develop ideas to promote inclusion for all learners
Use a psychological perspective to explore how children learn
Identify how to support children’s needs through best practices and overcoming barriers to participation
Learn how to create inclusive and enabling environments
Investigate the importance of whole-school approaches when working with displaced children who have experienced trauma
Work with stakeholders including families, education, health, and care services in educational settings to understand the policy and practice behind their collaboration
Explore key issues in safeguarding to understand best practice
Access to HE Diploma:
Pass overall with a minimum of 104 UCAS tariff points.
T Levels:
Pass overall with a minimum of 104 UCAS tariff points, including a C or above on the core.
Scottish Awards:
104 UCAS tariff points from a minimum of 5 Highers of which at least 2 must be grade B or above.
Irish Leaving Certificate:
104 UCAS tariff points from a minimum of 5 subjects at a higher level of which at least 3 must be grade H3 or above.
International baccalaureate:
104 UCAS tariff points from a minimum of 3 Highers of which at least 2 must be grade H5 or above.
20 hours of work permit weekly for international students.
IELTS 6.0 with no skills below 5.5, or an equivalent qualification.
