This hugely popular course, one of UELs flagship degrees, will give you a rewarding insight into contemporary social work and train you to become a reflective, capable and effective practitioner. Youll learn how to support, protect and speak up for people in significant personal difficulty. Well give you the theory and information you need through lectures and seminars, but this course is all about the hands-on experience €“ or €˜learning by doing, as we call it. Youll undertake supervised placements in your second and third years, applying your learning by working on real-life projects. By doing this, youll be able to narrow down your areas of interest for your post-university career.

We also welcome applications from students who are taking Level 3 or higher qualifications not on the UCAS tariff calculator as well as applicants who don't meet the required UCAS point tariff but have sufficient work experience. In these instances, we will assess the suitability on a case-by-case basis.

We accept a wide range of European and international qualifications in addition to A-levels, the International Baccalaureate and BTEC qualifications.
