Course Overview

Develop advanced knowledge, skills, awareness and critical reflection to underpin effective supervision within your work context. As a working professional with at least three years’ experience in your field of practice, you will have the opportunity to learn and reflect alongside course colleagues from a broad range of social care and allied health professions. In this way you will enhance your clinical and professional supervision skills. You will be required to develop and successfully complete an independent piece of research within the area of supervision and professional practice.

Professional Supervision is a significant cornerstone of learning, critical reflection and transformative practice. Throughout the programme you will examine the role of professional supervision. You will critically analyse and integrate theoretical perspectives, contemporary literature, policy and practice to grow your knowledge, skills and confidence in supervision within your own professional and organisational context.
