Course Overview

You will gain in-depth understanding of a wide range of themes and topics, read and analyze classical texts, interpret archaeological objects, ancient images and monuments, and gain a good appreciation of ancient languages. The course covers the themes, methods and theories in the study of the literature and history of the ancient world, as well as in works of art from ancient Greece and Rome, looking not only at the objects themselves, but also the contexts within which they were produced and used. Delving into myths and mythology, youll learn about the uses of mythological stories, characters and motifs since antiquity right up to the present day.

General Eligibility

1. passes in two distinct subjects at GCE Advanced Level; 2. a pass in one subject at GCE Advanced Level plus (a) passes in two distinct subjects at GCE Advanced Subsidiary Level, or (b) a Vocational A-Level Single Award, or (c) two Vocational A-Level part Awards; 3. a Vocational A-Level Double Award; or 4. a Vocational A-Level Single Award plus (a) two Vocational A-Level part Awards, or (b) passes in two distinct subjects at GCE Advanced Subsidiary Level; or 5. a BTEC National Certificate or Diploma; or 6. a Scottish Certificate of Education with (a) passes in five subjects, including at least three at Higher grade, or (b) passes in four subjects all at Higher grade or New Higher grade; or 7. the full Diploma of the International Baccalaureate; or 8. an Irish Leaving Certificate with passes in four subjects at Grade C at the Higher level.

Part Time Work Details

20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.
