Top up your foundation degree to full Honours level on this one-year course. Our teaching combines academic rigor with fun, creative ways to encourage the 0-8s to take part in learning.
The course is taught in the evenings, as you must be in a paid or voluntary work role throughout the program.
It's designed to meet the exact but changing needs of employers and will develop your knowledge and understanding of working with babies, young children, and families.
You'll find yourself developing skills for the early childhood education and care sector, as well as gaining experience in academic background and developing the attributes that employers value.
We accept the following:
Level 5 sector-specific qualification, such as an early year's sector-endorsed foundation degree, plus some experience of working with 0–8-year-olds.
Foundation degree plus substantial experience working with 0–8-year-olds.
Vocational degree plus substantial experience working with 0–8-year-olds in a non-educational role (for example, as a health visitor)
English Language/Literature at Grade 4 or C or above
Satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check are required.
You must be working or volunteering in an appropriate setting with children of the age/stage of 0-8
20 hours of work permit weekly for international students.
IELTS 6.0 overall, with no less than 5.5 in each skill.
