Graduates with a BSc in Applied Health (Medical Education) are well-placed for medical education and medical education research careers. This course serves as an excellent foundation for postgraduate programs, such as the PGCert, PGDiploma, and MEd in Clinical Education programs at the University of Leeds, Specialised Foundation programs in medical education, or a Ph.D. on a medical education topic.
As a graduate of the BSc in Applied Health (Medical Education) you are welcome to join the community of medical education scholars at the Leeds Institute of Medical Education.

This intercalated BSc is only open to medical students, who have completed at least two years of undergraduate medical training. Undergraduate students from the University of Leeds and other universities are welcome to apply.
Application to this course is a competitive process and those students with education and research experience will be favoured.

IELTS (International English Language Testing System) Academic or IELTS for UKVI (United Kingdom Visas and Immigration) (Academic) or IELTS Online at 6.0 overall with no less than 5.5 in each component skill. Please note that we cannot accept results from these tests that are over two years old at the start date of the course you intend to study.
TOEFL iBT (Test of English as a Foreign Language Internet-Based Test) or TOEFL iBT Home Edition at 80 overall with no less than 17 in listening, 18 in reading, 20 in speaking, and 19 in writing. Please note that we do not accept TOEFL My Best scores and we expect candidates to have met the relevant requirements from a single TOEFL test.
