Education Studies: SEN, Disabilities and Inclusion (SENDI) gives you the chance to explore the experiences of children and young people who can find themselves marginalised or excluded from traditional educational settings. You will gain a deep understanding of the diverse learning needs and explore a broad range of special educational needs and disabilities, such as: the experiences of children in care young carers young people not in employment education or training unaccompanied children. You will have the opportunity to gain real world experience of working in an Alternative Educational provision. Our teaching staff specialise in SENDI. They have recent experience working with children with complex educational needs, communication difficulties and challenging behaviours. This degree provides an excellent foundation for a range of professional careers, including: primary teaching youth advocacy/work and mentorship support in alternative educational settings roles in health and social care.
