Graduates can expect to work in the arts and entertainment industries, education and the media. Completing this course can lead to progression to our honours degree in performing arts.
You are part of the SRCActingRep, a unique collaboration across the programme where you perform in a One Act play festival and a full-length production at the end of the year as part of the HEFest. You learn to develop performance skills, grow your creative practice, and take on a production role within the SRCActingRep.
The programme aims to take work to the NSDF (National Student Drama Festival) and undertake trips to local, national and international theatres. London and New York Trips are planned for every other year. There are regular industry workshops as well as practical and academic seminars.
After completing this course, there are potential progression routes to drama school, employment or further study on our bespoke BA (Hons) Performing Arts (Top-up) degree.
Entry requirements are 40-48 points or relevant industry-level experience.
20 Hours of work permit weekly for international students.
English language competence is required. The general entry criteria for this course are International English Language Test System (IELTS) 5.5 or Test of English as a Foreign Language Cambridge English scale 162
