Like our Physical Education, Physical Activity, and Sport foundation degree, this course allows you to work while you learn – attending formal study one day per week. Work-based research means you can apply the taught theories directly to your activities outside of the course, and our team has close links with organizations like Active Kent and Medway which adds another dimension to your studies.
Once complete, you will not only have the skills and knowledge to drive your career in physical education, but you will also have the formal qualification to go with it.
Current students are employed in schools or coaching environments while they study. Many BA (Hons) students will apply to become qualified teachers through the PGCE or School Direct route (primary or secondary) or continue their study at the Master's level.
Ideally, applicants should have some experience in teaching or coaching and supporting learners; be employed or working voluntarily for 10 hours per week in a relevant setting.
20 hours of work permit weekly for international students.
IELTS 6.5 or equivalency – with no less than 5.5 in any element.
