Course Overview

This course explores the typical contexts in which coaches operate, including schools, physical activity settings, governing bodies, and professional sporting organisations. You will study a stimulating mix of core sports and exercise science core topics, including sports psychology, human anatomy, biomechanics, coaching, and movement analysis.

  • Understand coaching theories and approaches to help you deliver appropriate coaching activities across various domains.

  • Explore a range of sports science disciplines, including psychology, within sport performance and health-based settings.

  • Learn how to coach others toward; specific improvements through rehabilitation or injury prevention strategies and/or lifestyle enhancements.

  • Explore the typical contexts in which coaches operate, including schools, physical activity settings, governing bodies, and professional sporting organisations.

  • Identify, analyse and provide feedback on the contemporary issues within Sports whilst developing your industry awareness and relevance within Sports Coaching.

  • Learn through real-life coaching scenarios, lab projects, and fieldwork and gain hands-on experience with specialist equipment in well-equipped facilities.

General Eligibility

Minimum 104 UCAS tariff points (B, C, C) or consider Foundation or International Year One

Part Time Work Details

Twenty hours of work permit weekly for international students.
