Course Overview

This four-year Bachelor of Fine Arts will help you develop your own creative identity as a dance artist. At the heart of this course is dance-making, underpinned by our internationally recognized research disciplines. You will have many opportunities to extend your potential as a dancer, engaging with dance as it is seen and performed in broad multicultural and artistic contexts. Working in a variety of settings, you will engage in€¯dance performance, choreography, improvisation, and dramaturgy, exploring both practical and theoretical approaches. You will develop a wide understanding of dance practice, exploring styles and techniques including ballet, Cunningham, Graham, Limón, and release and contact improvisation. You'll work closely with experienced teachers, professional dancers, and choreographers in classes with live music, refining your dance practice in our spacious studios, screen dance facilities, and well-equipped theatre

General Eligibility

1. in two distinct subjects at GCE Advanced Level; 2. a pass in one subject at GCE Advanced Level plus (a) passes in two distinct subjects at GCE Advanced Subsidiary Level, or (b) a Vocational A-Level Single Award, or (c) two Vocational A-Level part Awards; 3. a Vocational A-Level Double Award; or 4. a Vocational A-Level Single Award plus (a) two Vocational A-Level part Awards, or (b) passes in two distinct subjects at GCE Advanced Subsidiary Level; or 5. BTEC National Certificate or Diploma; or 6. a Scottish Certificate of Education with (a) passes in five subjects, including at least three at a Higher grade, or (b) passes in four subjects all at a Higher grade or New Higher grade; or 7. full Diploma of the International Baccalaureate; or 8. an Irish Leaving Certificate with passes in four subjects at Grade C at the Higher level.

Part Time Work Details

20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.
