This degree is perfect for you if you want to study a mix of human and physical geography in your first year, specializing in human, digital and environmental geographies as you progress through the program. In Years 2 and 3, we offer a wide range of modules that cover some of the most pressing global and environmental challenges of time, including migration and how this shapes us and the places where we live, environmental governance and justice, climate change, gentrification, energy, and food security, and critical development geographies and geopolitics.
A/AS-levels: ABB. Two AS-levels are considered in place of one A-level. Geography is not essential.
EPQ with A-levels: BBB + EPQ at grade B.
GCSE: Grade C/4 in English Language and Maths.
Access to HE Diploma: Pass relevant diploma with a minimum of 45 credits at level 3, 30 of which must be at Distinction.
BTEC Nationals: Pass Diploma with DDM.
International Baccalaureate: Pass Diploma with 30 points. Minimum of 3 in HL Maths, or 4 in SL Maths if grade C/4 is not held at GCSE. A minimum of 4 in the English Language is required if a grade of C/4 is not held at GCSE.
T Levels: Distinction in Science (with an Occupational Specialism in Laboratory technician)
Twenty hours of work permit weekly for international students.
IELTS 6.5 or equivalent. If your first language is not English, you may need to prove your English ability. If you do not yet meet our requirements, our English Language Teaching Unit (ELTU) offers a range of courses to help you to improve your English to the necessary standard.
