Our MMedSci programme provides a solid foundation of core, medical science knowledge. This fosters a wider perspective to critical, analytical thinking to enable better use of evidence-based information and its application to your chosen clinical field.
On succesful completion of the course you will be able to:
Formulate questions to explore a wide variety of issues relating to patient care, service management, the effectiveness of healthcare interventions, research and education
Seek out and make effective use of the literature on a wide variety of topics
Write critical reviews, reports, and discussion documents on a wide variety of topics
Use your own experience and reflection as a powerful source of new learning and help others to do the same
Develop and enact personal learning plans
Communicate with, understand and work more effectively with colleagues in other health disciplines
This degree is designed for those individuals who are undertaking a Keele or other UK undergraduate Medical Degree course and wishing to take a year out of their studies to pursue a thorough grounding of scientific inquiry in the anatomical sciences and research methodologies relevant to experimental and clinical sciences. Students with relevant non-clinical backgrounds (e.g. previous undergraduate/postgraduate study of anatomy or related sciences) will be considered.
20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.
IELTS 6.5 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component.
