The apprenticeship will typically take three and a half years (including the End-Point Assessment), although each student will be different, depending on previous experience.
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, although an initial assessment will take place to ensure the apprenticeship is the most appropriate training program for the individual. Candidates will need to be in employment (in England) where their line manager can support them through the apprenticeship- Individual employers will set the selection criteria for their Apprenticeship and employment role.
As a guide, candidates might have A levels (or equivalent) or existing relevant Level 3 qualifications and English and Maths at Level 2. (Where approved English and Maths qualifications are not held, these must be completed during the apprenticeship program).
Other relevant or prior experience may also be considered as an alternative alongside consideration of the suitability of the role being undertaken and the opportunities to develop and apply the required knowledge, skills, and behaviors.
