Based in our Games Academy, you’ll learn the principles of game animation and develop a diverse set of creative and technical skills in character animation, rigging, motion capture and games engines to create exceptional digital products.
From day one, you will work in studio-style collaborative teams that mirror industry practice while designing and building your games. You’ll gain experience working in a real-time animation pipeline and graduate with a rich portfolio of work ready to launch your games career.
Develop fundamental animation principles in a game development context
Learn how to animate believable and stylised characters
Rig and animate characters to be implemented into real-time game technologies such as Unreal Engine or Unity
Learn how to use motion and facial capture equipment effectively
Work in multi-skilled teams where you keep the Intellectual Property (IP) of any games you produce
Study in one of the largest and best-equipped dedicated game-making spaces of any university in the UK

UCAS Tariff points will primarily be from Level 3 qualifications such as but not limited to A-levels, T Levels, a BTEC/UAL Extended Diploma or a Foundation Diploma.
Twenty hours of work permit weekly for international students.
For applicants whose first language is English, we require you to have or be working towards GCSE English Language Grade 4 (C) or equivalent.
If English is not your first language, you must meet the standard equivalent to the IELTS Academic 6.0 overall score, with at least 5.5 in Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening. In addition, we accepted a range of in-country equivalencies and approved tests.
