Our combined honours Biology and Environmental Science BSc will provide you with a breadth of knowledge and diverse skills across two exciting scientific subject areas.
From assessing the effect of medication on the human body and exploring methods to prevent species extinction, to finding solutions to counter the devastating impact humans are having on the planet; many of society's biggest global challenges are connected to biology and environmental science. Studying environmental science will enable you to integrate scientific knowledge, and an awareness of social, economic and ethical issues, to address the management of the environment and problems such as water pollution and water resource scarcity. The biology component of this programme covers a range of fundamentals, as well as topics including physiology and anatomy, ecology and plant biology, and animal behaviour and microbes, viruses and parasites.
