You'll design experiments to test hypotheses, collect data with state-of-the-art instrumentation, and communicate through oral and written work the results of your experiments. In addition, you can engage in faculty research as early as your first year and have the opportunity and flexibility to study abroad during Term III.
With a biochemistry major, you'll be prepared to pursue further graduate study in biochemistry, public health, exercise science, health professions-related education, or begin a professional career. For example, many of our alums with a Biochemistry degrees have pursued medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, and pharmaceutical degrees.
